OUT OF CONTEXT: JAVA DOESN'T ALWAYS MAKE SENSE
"If you're an AS/400 customer and you don't plan to diversify your 
application across multiple platforms, then it makes very little 
sense to go back and rewrite this stuff in Java just for the sake of 
having it in a platform-neutral language. That's not a real astute 
thing to do. But if you're an AS/400 shop and you need to extend 
some sort of a customer service application to the Internet, then it 
makes sense to use Java to extend that application because Java is 
sort of the foundation stone of browser technology and the 
Internet."
