It depends. While you can set up their own chunk of memory dedicated to that subsystem, this may not stop them from gobbling the processor. Much like, (for everyone using QBATCH instead of QBASE), a batch job may still affect performance of an interactive job. Even though they are in separate subsystems and memory pools. Do you still want to pursue setting up separate memory? Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole! They are still affected by other users and other users are still affected by them. Is there a way I can dedicate resources ( I/O - Memory ) specifically to this subsystem ??? +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
