Chris, the character is called a tilde - it depends on what version of C/A you are on but the character is mappable to a key. In most versions, they can, at the signon screen, get to a menu option overhead, called Assist. Choose Keyboard mapping, Customise, click on the key shown on the keyboard diagram, then look to the right-hand panel under the diagram to see what it's mapped to. This shows the character it produces & also the character it produces when Shift + the key are pressed. To change these, there may be a Change button below these. Otherwise, click on Character button. scroll along until the tilde shows up & click on it to select it. Then click on the right-hand arrow button to place that character into the field called Base. Now File, Save, File exit. Hope this helps ...
