I totally agree that you're better off going with non-manual change control - 8 Lever-arch folders of documentation are crushing my desk. Unicomp do a suite of pgms called mAStermind, with Software version control - which may have more than you need but not less ! Our developers looked at it yesterday & are considering using it exclusively. The product includes job scheduler, spoolfile mgmt etc, the whole lot - we got it for job scheduling but you get the lot anyway, & it looks good.
