All of our dozen or so AS/400's from the 840 on down have 10. addresses.
Works fine here!

Hmmm... have you been reading my posts about including the AS/400 on a 10.
network? If so, perhaps you may be able to understand my reticence to tag
the AS/400 with the rating of "excellent" as a web server. Every other
machine on my network is perfectly happy as a 10. address, but my AS/400
refuses to speak to the outside world.

Now, if I find that my new machine, with V4R5, works in the 10. address
space, I will be happy to rescind my slightly negative bias here. But
it's
the small things like this particular little anomaly that give the AS/400
a
black eye in the non-midrange community. I mean, seriously, I built a
Linux machine from scratch with my own hands and for less than a grand,
and
it runs TCP/IP better than my AS/400.

But again, if the new OS version helps, I'll certainly be willing to amend
my opinion.

Joe

What? It's an *excellent* webserver, robust, fast, and easy to configure
and use - and simple to integrate with your data.
