Bonnie,
This is the Media & Storage Extensions feature (see backup & recovery
guide). BEWARE when this feature expires you will NOT be able to use your
tape drive ! that's right, no normal backup or recovery possible!

We have a client with this problem & I could let you know on Fri what the
outcome is if you're interested.
By the way it's a chargable product which the client never wanted but it got
loaded somehow during an OS install (V4R4).
