Thanks. I've done it and nothing has changed.  It's just strange, one minute
it's working fine and the next, the writer just will not start. Know of any
.pdf files on the 5394 controller?

Check the controller configuration and ensure the port and address
assignments are correct.

Hello everyone.  I have an IBM 5224 printer and it's remotely connected to
an AS400 via a 5394 controller.  The printer's status
says ' Varied On', however the writer will not start.  I've checked the job
log and it gave me the following error,


' Bind Failure - Close file QPSPLPRT in QSYS and run request again.'

I've turned the device off, varied it off, ended the QSPL subsystem and
IPL'd the machine.  Not all at once, but at different times.  The writer
still will not start.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to " Close " this
file??   Thanks.
