Title: RE: SNDDST security (too much information)

Is your system name equal to your serial number?  We call our system Concepts and that is what shows in the mail headers, not the serial number.

DSPNETA to see your system name.
CHGNETA to change your system name.  *** WARNING changing your system name can cause current network configurations to stop working.  If you only use CA express and have no other SNA system in your network, you should not have any problems.

Do I just have something setup incorrectly?  I've been testing by
sending myself email with SNDDST *LMSG and I see things in the headers
that I REALLY don't want getting out.  Maybe it won't hurt anything, but
I'm paranoid.

Here's an example with values changed slightly.

The Message-Id contains our serial number (which I replace with $$):
Message-Id: <$$$$$$$0102281445000000000001@best.bestdist.com>

And this header has the username AND the serial number:
X-From-OFFICEVISION: <SPORTER S$$$$$$$>

I managed to get rid of the rest by adding/changing host table entries
and CHGTCPDMN.  I'm using the gateway method that's been explained
numerous times on the list.  I have a user/system in WRKDIRE that routes
to SMTP.

Thanks for any ideas!
