There's not a lot of information here to go on... When I first installed V4R5 (this past Sunday) the Telnet server kept crashing. Once I installed all the PTFs the problem seemed to go away, so if you're not up to date on PTFs, you might try that. is TCP/IP up and running? Can you ping the AS/400, can you FTP to it, is it just telnet or all TCP/IP services? From the AS/400 itself, can you type TELNET '127.0.0.1' and get a signon?
