I have never seen this, but three things that come to mind & that might
just be relevant are:
a) Have you 'byte-capped' the relevant user profile to limit its amount of
used auxiliary storage?
b) Have you limited the max. CPU time or max. temp storage on the relevant
*CLS?
c) If this relates to a complex SQL SELECT statement, s the Query Governor
coming into play (not even sure whether it *could*, but someone with better
knowledge of this area than me might be able to help)?
Worth a look in the QSYSOPR message queue, history log and/or relevant
QZDASOINIT joblog, if you haven't found these wanting already.

Subject: Resource limit exceeded

Our VB application that connects to the AS/400 via ODBC has a problem
printing. Large print jobs (around 200 policies) receive the following
message:

Run-time error '146'.

S1000:(IBM)(Client Access Express ODBC Driver (32-bit))(DB2/400
SQL)SQL0904-
Resource limit exceeded.

Happens with client access and CA Express. We've not found any
documentation on this problem, and do not know where to go next. Has
anybody else had this problem? We are on V4R3, going to V4R5 in 8 weeks...

It does not happen when we connect the application to our 'local' database
(SQLAnywhere) - the same print request that blows on the 400 works fine on
the local running from the same pc.

Thoughts?

Thanks, JN
