> Well not as bad as the new book IBM and the Nazi's I am not familiar with this ... didn't the Nazis predate IBM? Science should be neutral ... do we know which computers were involved in the Human Genome project ... I think IBM contributed there. Was that a good thing or a bad thing ... I think it was good. Which computers were used in the development of which weapons Nuclear That is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on how happy you are that the Allies won which War. A lot of people seem to feel that it would have been better if the Axis had won, or if the Communists had won the Cold War, because developing & using that terrible bomb was horribly shameful. The war crimes tribunal was buried in paperwork until IBM donated hardware & organized a bunch of companies to donate software ... I think that was a good thing, but I imagine some people unhappy because the war crimes tribunal was helped with its work. What computers help with NASA? ... This can be bad PR because any little thing that goes wrong with a computer that was made many years ago (at time of launch) gets magnified by the media. I think it is a small miracle that any computer still works after being subjected to the G force of launching into orbit, let alone off to the outer planets through the temperature extremes of outer space.
