Hi Larry,
I would tend to create a DDMF link to the remote file, then use CPYF to
retrieve the data, using INCCHAR, INCREL, FROMRCD-TORCD or FROMKEY-TOKEY to
pre-select the dataset if the remote file is large, then run query over the
retrieved data. Query will not allow you to specify a DDMF as one of the
input files. This could all be wrapped up and simplified in a CL program if
it is a regular report/extract.

Kind regards,
Jeff Bull.

Subject: Query over DDM?

I seem to remember trying to use Query over a DDM connection and having
it fail. Is there a way to use Query to access files on another AS/400
in the network? (In this case 100MB LAN connection between machines.)

 Thanks!

  - Larry
