You can specify which message IDs you are interested in on the DSPLOG
command so you do not have to go through the entire QHST log. The you can
convert to either an OUTFILE or *PRINT. We have a product (as well as
others) that will convert the spool file to *HTML on your IFS and then you
can make that available on the web site. If you are looking for the data to
be real time, you could write a program to do the DSPLOG QHST to a *PRINT,
and convert to HTML on the fly. It could be executed using the direct call
feature of net.data. We have several processes on our web site that call
AS400 programs on the back end.

Subject: Realtime read of the log and update of a DB file.

I have a program that will display the history log to a print file then
copy it to a PF then it will read that file for 2 different message
id's then place the relevant data from these messages to a seperate
PF. this file needs to be kept basically for ever. Then a program
creates a couple of seperate reports from the new data and posts them to a
web site.

Running thise once a day has become not a enough anymore. I would like to
have this so the data on the web pages would be real time.

Any suggestions?
