  • Subject: SNADS problem

I spent Saturday morning getting the last two of our four AS/400s totally up to
date on PTFs (V4R4). This morning we have an odd SNADS problem: one of our
systems apparently can send but cannot receive anything via SNADS without ending
and restarting SNADS.

The system log shows that it knows objects are coming in, but they are never
received. There are no error messages, and no indication of problems in any of
the logs or queues on any of the systems. When we end and restart SNADS on the
system in question, everything queued up is received.

No changes have been made except for the PTFs (current as of last Tuesday's
HIPERs).

We transfer objects constantly between two of these systems, so this is a real
problem for us today. We are going through channels to report the problem and
try to resolve it, but I thought I would see if anyone on this list has any
ideas on where to look for more info on what's happening.

Thanks!

Janet
