John - Is your intent to just duplicate the file, or do you need to copy it
to a DB file for some additional processing?

If all you need to do is duplicate it in order to send it to several users,
use the SNDNETSPLF command. I think that would work...

Subject: Still looking for a way to print to the AS400

I haven't seen any answers to this so maybe I need to elaborate...

I need to setup a PC to print to an AS400 output queue. This part is
working fine. I need the spool file to be created on the output queue
in a form that cpysplf can process. It seems no matter what driver I
pick cpysplf does not like the output. I can display the spool file
without any errors but cpysplf gives me a warning each time.

Using the IBM SCS printer driver in windows I get a
printable/displayable spool file on the 400. It seems that the 400
believes it has gotten variable character data and assumes the printer
will handle this. When I do I cpysplf I get a CPA3311 message
(Attributes of file not supported.

unfortunately I do not control the CL that is doing the conversion and
IF i take a G to the message it seems to lose some blank lines.

I tried to change the printer driver to TextOnly but windoze was not
happy. I think this may be because the printer is a client access
printer.
