Simon,

I did enjoy a snicker when reading this but you do bring up a good
quesiton.  A 1099 is a earned income without withholding form that a
employer must file with the IRS and must give you a copy of for your
1040(the BIG tax form).  It's also used for interest and dividend earnings
as there's a 1099int and a 1099div....etc...

My guess is that the folks in Queensland have a simular form...:)

If it were a feature, it would be one that I would leave off the
machine...:)
