Well, actually you CAN do file shares and printer shares from a green screen if you cant to call the API's and pass the nice long string to it. QZLSADFS and QZLADPS add file and printer shares. QZLSCHFS & QZLSCHPS change them. Easy Dan, using NetServer on your 400, you can install Client Access directly from the 400 without the CD. Catch 22 ! ;-) Yes, you need OpsNav, so install CA Express from the Client Access Family for Windows CD, or if you have some CA installed but not Ops Nav run IBM Client Access Express/Selective Setup. You can actually configure basic NetServer, including a guest profile (but not file shares), without OpsNav - from a green screen. Read informational APAR's II11239 & II11240 (SNDPTFORD II11239 ...etc. - or read online). To start & end manually, on V4R4 (maybe V4R3) and higher, just use STRTCPSVR *NETSVR or ENDTCPSVR *NETSVR.
