Darryl,

You know, I thought v4r5 was the end of the road for 150, but IBM is
supposed to be sending a beta v5 for mine, so maybe ther is a future (we'll
see what they send me). They told me not to expect it to run very well on a
150, but if it runs at all, it keeps my R&D machine in alive for a while. I
know for sure they don't sell 150 any longer.

As for your other question about the feature codes, you need to look in the
AS/400 System Handbook. You may need to go a couple releases back to get one
old enough to have details on the 150. As I recall, the last digit
(3,4,5,etc) was the OS/400 release that shipped with the machine, and the
01, 02, 03, entry/growth part of the name had to do with whether it used a
twinax controller versus C/A Ops Console and then which of (I think) the 2
processor options it had.

As far as upgrading your 150, you may want to look into buying one on the
used market instead.

If you get any firm answers on the 150 future, keep me posted as it sounds
like we are in a similar situation.

-Marty
