>> For example, the OS/400 is done in Rochester and the UDB that goes everywhere else is developed in Toronto. Unless it has changed recently the DB2 for MVS is done in Santa Teresa (just outside San Jose, CA). There is some database work done in Toronto for the mainframes but not the DB2 stuff as far as I know. They are working to change things, but we (well perhaps not you Bruce <grin>) are part of the problem. All the time we insist that DB2 databases be able to be read as flat files we are effectively preventing them from adopting the Toronto UDB code even if Rochester wanted to. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: firstname.lastname@example.org +---
