This years Spring Announcement: Linux

Have I missed something? At least the following is new to me:

I got one of those 'dumb calls' from an IBM telemarketing bloke "Allow
me to ask some questions.."

He said (without any hesitation) "Linux will be avaiable on AS/400 this
spring". On my question if this was announced he could just tell that
he has got the information from an internal paper. So it looks like the
Linux-route will be the way they'll go, rather than expanding the
already present limited Unix-support into 'real' unix.

A second thought: What a shame that all the other 'industri standard'
OS platforms are only oldfashioned primitive shades of the real thing:
OS/400
