Jim, I posted parameter settings for a Remote Writer TCP/IP OUTQ about six weeks ago. This allows you to route AS/400 output to a Windows NT Print Server resource. Say I have a Lexmark Optra S printer resource called LANPRINT defined on NT Server WINDOZE that I use today to print cute little excel and word documents. Here is an OUTQ definition to route AS/400 output to the LAN printer using the NT print server definition. CRTOUTQ <F4 key> then <F11 key> OUTQ(QUSRSYS/LANPRINT) RMTSYS(WINDOZE) RMTPRTQ(LANPRINT) AUTOSTRWTR(1) + MSGQ(QSYS/QSYSOPR) CNNTYPE(*IP) DESTTYPE(*OTHER) MFRTYPMDL(*LEXOPTRAS) + TEXT('test lan printer IP outq') AUTCHK(*DTAAUT) Obviously, you have to change the OUTQ, RMTSYS, RMTPRTQ and MFRTYPMDL parameters to match your specific environment. You can further customize the CPI, LPI, PAGRTT (rotation) settings by using workstation customization objects *WSCST. We find that we get the best results by forcing landscape printing and hardcoding a 13CPI font. You will find instructions on how to create and use WSCST objects in the IBM Support Line Knowledgebase at http://www.as400service.ibm.com Hope this helps, James A. I tried to find that message in the archives, since this is somethign I have to do now, but way too many messages come up about printer setups so I can't find. Anyone have this message they could resend please? Or remember the title so I can find it that way?
