Look into the IFS APIs. Create the document in the IFS with RPGIV. Translate the data from code page 37, our AS400 default, to the PC file code page you need before writing to the IFS file. OR you can create the PC file with the proper code page and write using the IFS APIs and let the system perform the code page conversion for you. Christopher K.
