The problem IBM has is that the old 4gb drives are the 1700rpm drives and no
one makes this drive anymore.  If you have noticed, all of the new drives
are 10,000 rpm drives so an 8gb 'microcoded down' to a 4gb wouldn't work.
The problem IBM has caused is that used 4gb/1700rpm drives are now going for
new list or higher.
