RE: FTP Connect - 30 secs delay

Did someone update the DNS entry on the AS400?   The change does not take
effect until TCP/IP is stopped and restarted.  The FTP server Reverse DNS
lookup was failing.   The IPL of course stopped and restarted TCP/IP.

IPL'ed the AS/400 and the delay is gone ! ! !

being an "I want to know why" freak, this is of course terrible,
but since my problem is solved, I can't get to bottom of WHY 
I had it in the first place. In the process so far, I learned 
something from all of you. Thanks again..
