Happy New Year, New Century, New Millennium, I am trying to connect an WinNT workstation (V4 with SP3) to an AS400 (V4R4 with cum 0147) IFS, both are in the same work group. The NT is logged on to with a valid AS400 user (not sure about password at this point). The AS400 shows in Network Neighborhood and the shares show below it. After clicking on a share the password box is filled in with a valid user and password pair. The box immediately returns stating that an invalid username or incorrect password was used. The rest of the network is Win9x and does not have any problems accessing the shares. I've tried all combinations of text case, changed the profile to make sure it is enabled and accessible, there are no messages in QSYSOPR. I've also searched the archives but everything talks about the log on box showing (as it does) not if it doesn't work. Any hints will be much appreciated. BTW, can the AS400 be used as a network password authority in place of a WinNT server for users that move from PC to PC and regularly change passwords? I don't want a user to use PC1, go to PC2 and change their password (PC & AS400) then go back to PC1 and have to remember the old password just to get into the PC.
