It happened to us when we upgraded the 400 from a 300 Cisc to 720 Risc earlier this year, going 3.2 - 4.4. We're quite a straight forward site - no additional languages etc. We resolved it with the RCLSTG and reinstall etc as you mention in your mail. Had a search through the logs etc at the time, but never found out why this happened - one of life's mysteries I guess? However if anyone can shine any light, I'd be interested in knowing the answer too!

Does anybody know the True Story about having Extended Base Support in
Error. Here is the story..
Over the past few years i have seen on a few AS/400's that after an upgrade
of the system to a new release Extended base support is shown in error.
It has happended since V4R3 as far as i know, when no including secondary
languages are used, and when secondary languages are added after the system
has been upgraded.
I know that there a few APAR's (SA90429,SA91467) about adding secondary
languages can cause Extended Base Support errors, but has anyone seen this
when no secondary languages are used?
The only way i know to fix it is to 1. RCLSTG *DBXREF then 2. Slip install
the OS
Come on guy's and girls...you're a clever bunch out there
By the way HAPPY XMAS to all AS/I 400 lovers!
