Hi, Robert, I aggree with Philipp in that I also believe that going FTP would be the best choice. But, if for any reason, you NEED to use the CA Transfer (*.tto), then there is no problem in starting the transfer from the AS/400 side from a CL program, as long as you set up this way (I have used it and works fine): 1- in the NT side, allow (CA Properties/RemoteCommands) for execution of incoming remote commands. In NT this is slightly different than in W95/98, in the sense there is a "Service" that has to be started, though you can set it to start automatically at StartUp time. 2- in the NT side, build the desired Transfer request, and test it online, so you know it works how you like. Then, prepare a procedure, e.g. "TRANS.BAT" that includes setting of proper Path for RTOPCB or RFROMPCB (find in CA Directories) and executes RTOPCB with the Transfer name you prepared as a parameter. 3- in the CL, use RUNRMTCMD to the NT Server's IP address, requesting to start the "TRANS.BAT" procedure Hope this helps.
