...unless you're one of several billion people who live outside the US
borders who interpret it differently than we citizens of the USA do.
International correspondence tends toward spelling the date out and using 24
hour GMT time, i.e. "I'll ring you up at your Paris apartment on 3 Feb 2000
at 19.00GMT."  Very little ambiguity there, no matter what your "native"
representation is.

The sole reason I made this post is to note that with the Web, any and all
data we share is shared internationally.  A fraulein from Germany can order
(or inquire) from your web site as easily as a dude from Texas...
