CVTRPGSRC Failure with MAPICS -- MIDRANGE-L

Has anyone had problems running CVTRPGSRC with AMALIB in your library
list?  One of our customers has this problem.  If AMALIB is in the job's
list, any program even the following program fails to convert issuing a
pointer error:

        C                       SETON                   LR

Supportline has never heard of this before.  Removing AMALIB from *LIBL
solves the problem.
