NSM 1.3 (5648-C05) running on V4R3 & using the Netscape 40-bit encryption browser option. I am trying to get NSM 1.3 to support SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 from the Netscape browser. I have searched the Internet, the NSM configuration app and the help text without success. NSM 2 is also running on the same AS/400 & works fine. At present the 1.3 version of the browser won't handle https: at all. It shows the check boxes for this support as unchecked and, of course (this being a thin client), greyed out. Therefore I am expecting to find a configuration option *somewhere*. The fact that the 40-bit encryption Netscape browser runs SSL fine on NSM 2 on this AS/400 would indicate to me that any OS/400 prereqs are satisfied (and I can find no indication of any such prereqs in the somewhat limited documentation, anyway). We have the latest group PTF for 5648-C05 installed. There appears to be no reference to SSL on any relevant PTF or APAR description anyway. If you have succeeded in getting this working, please let me know how! We need 1.3 running to support some oldish thin client hardware.
