The internal V.90 modem is for PPP connections only - it will not connect via SDLC. For now, you can connect a standard SDLC modem to the other comm port on the card and get PTF's via SDLC dial-up as always. PTF support for internal V.90 modem will be made available by PPP dial-up via PTF's later this year, and PM/400 dial-up by PTF will be available next year via PTF. As to when IBM will have their infrastructure ready in different countries to allow PPP dial-up to order PTF's in a question best directed to your local IBM office.
