Don't know about that, but do you have the Exit Confirmation program installed ?
It will force a confirmation if someone tries to close a PC5250 session.  You only need to run the program once - installing service packs doesn't affect it.  It's a pretty small file (153K) named confexit.exe  
email me directly if you want it.

Also, are you sure the workstation job is not still active?  Are you checking via WRKACTJOB?  Did you press F14 and see if it showed up?

We had made the decision on named workstations to help us figure out where
(which PC) a user was signed on at.  In case we have to call to get users
off the system from time to time.

Most of our users have learned the hard way not to close the window before
signing off of the 400.
I do not suppose that there is a way to make the closing of a window force a
signoff or end job, is there?
