I checked cover letter SF97023, which is the cross reference file for ptfs
from V3R2 to V4R3. I didn't see SF49800 in there. Perhaps there wasn't a
matching PTF for V3R2?

I don't recall having that problem at V3R2. I did at V4R2 & V4R3
I think this is the one I was thinking of.
You'll probably have to modify your backup program at V3R2 to allow for the
error.

V3R2. Another response to me also said there was a PTF available. I
searched PTF cover letters and could not find one.

Understood on the show stopper. But, my program does MONMSG for
problems and this causes an *ESCAPE message that not all objects were
saved.
