5250 datastream

Folks,
A 5250 datastream question:
I make a field with the SF-order. 
The SF-order specifies an attribute.
If I later in the same command issue
an SBA-order and override the attribute
set by the SF-field by another attribute
or a space for that matter. Does that
remove the field from the format table?
I think not, but the STRSQL screen
seems to rely on that. STRSQL,
press shift-F5 (shows a list of short fields),
press F12 (back to main screen).
