I searched the archive, but I'm not sure what to search for (since I keep getting results that don't match what I want.) My AS/400 does not have ethernet or a modem. I need to get files onto it, though. It's too much trouble to get tapes every time. My thought was to use a serial cable to set up a SLIP connection to a PC. I haven't figured out how to do this, although I suspect it is possible. I'm on V3R2 and cannot upgrade hardware or software. I can use a straight through cable or null-modem cable (I have both and will use whatever works.) I've considered a modem eliminator, but I expect they are cost prohibitive. Anyone ever try this? (I plan to connect to a Linux box to get the AS/400 on the LAN.)
