There are some type 4 JDBC drivers that you could use to connect to the Oracle database using a java program. (Type 4 jdbc drivers are pure java) -----Original Message----- From: Quazy [SMTP:quazy@SoftHome.net] Sent: Monday, October 16, 2000 1:29 PM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Read a DB file from a 6000 I need to read a oracle data base file on a RS/6000 from my AS/400. Is there a way to do a ODBC connection from the as/400? or is there another way to do this. I don't want to ftp the file to the as/400 because I don't know how often it will get changed. The file will get read quite frequently, so I need pretty good performance. It will have the possibility to be read up to 80,000 times in one day. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
