How's about a little background info?  Are they coming from the LAN, via a
2400 baud modem, that kind of info...

I was wondering, if there was a way to speed up the time it takes to get
the Username prompt, when someone ftp's into our as/400.� It takes about 50
seconds before the user can enter their name...
