My dim memories of this type of message relate to CCSIDs.  I believe that
LPR is trying to translate from your CCSID to the CCSID of the far end.  The
table it uses is composed of the code pages ("from" 7BF "to" 437).  Having
said that, 7BF seems impossible as a code page.  Check for PTFs relating to
code page, CCSID, QWPZPDS and QDCXLATE as well as the message ID of the
error.  See if anybody put a PTF on your machine since the last time it
worked.
