It's not the size of the company that matters, but rather the strength of the argument.
If IBM sends you a plain text e-mail, how do you suppose they will type the brand in question

===> IBM is trying, but failing IMHO. Here is something they sent me:

Dear Member of PartnerWorld for Developers,

Today's announcement of the IBM e(logo)server* ("eserver") line is    <=== note this
outstanding news for you.  The enhanced server line makes the
world's strongest portfolio even stronger and, coupled with your
software solutions, customers will have everything they need to
compete in the e-business world.

The IBM "eserver" announcement includes three important points:

-- The IBM "eserver" family incorporates the newest research
technologies from IBM's labs and will offer unique solutions to
business challenges

-- The servers feature new tools for managing growth, risk, costs and
integrated applications which will differentiate IBM offerings in the
marketplace

-- The open-standards approach, fully embraced by the IBM
"eserver" line, means customers now have the open-systems support
and application flexibility they need in this Internet-driven marketplace
