It's half true. They don't release all temporary storage immediately, they release some right away and leave some around as a kind of cache. There have been PTFs for both products but I don't recall one that is specifically about a memory leak. I am pretty comfortable with ODBC workspaces - an ODBC server job QZDASOINIT can get very large but that is by design.
