Take a look at Starsight Technologies. Their AS/400 Gl downloads directly
into EXCEL to the accounting people can create/manipulate their data as they
see fit.

I missed what all has been mentioned so far, but I was very impressed
with
the System 2000 AS/400 package. The company was out of Long Island, I
think,
and I evaluated the product extensively two or three years ago with a great
salesperson out of Louisiana.

The screens had been designed for GUI400, they were beautifully done, but
of course the GUI interface was optional. The source was good looking RPG,
very organized. This multi-billion bulk distribution company looking at it
had some complex requirements including variations on the drop ship theme
and
things they wanted to do in A/R without having to do a major rewrite. There
is nothing that our financial people asked to see that wasn't demoed right
off
of a portable AS/400 by this rep. Followups were done via web demoes.
Every
screen had very good drill down support. Very impressive.

I made a list of pros and cons at the time. The cons list was very
short.
Pricing was good. Technical questions resulted in straightforward answers.
I
can't vouch for using it because the company ended up doing Y2K remediation
on
the custom code.
