>Submit the program in batch. >SBMJOB your program >Then check the submitted job >WRKSBMJOB your job >and it's spool file.If everything is okay you could see the HTML there.Otherwise it would give >you what the error is. Haven't tried this, but we will. >Even still if you are not sure call the program from the browser and check >WRKACTJOB >you should see the error message there for your HTTP instance. That's the funny thing. I do check WRKACTJOB when I run it, and it never gives me an error. The job just goes into TIMW and hangs until it dies or I kill it. When I check the user's messages, all it says is that the job ended abnormally. I know I'm doing something wrong, I just wish it'd tell me what. If it's any help, we're running V4R4M0 on a 170 and using the Domino R5.0.3 HTTP server (not the native one). Net.Data CGI stuff runs with no trouble. >Did you bind your program with QZBHCGI service program?. No, we'll try that as well. -----Original Message----- From: MEovino@estes-express.com [SMTP:MEovino@estes-express.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 20, 2000 7:14 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: Trouble with QtmhRdStin I'm trying to use the sample code from midrangecomputing.com (http://www.midrangecomputing.com/anje/article.cfm?id=162&md=19992) demonstrating how to write CGI programs in RPG. I followed all the instructions and everything seemed to work ok (I think), but when I fill the web form with data and click submit to kick it off, it goes into a timed wait and just hangs. If I check the call stack for the job, it looks like this (set your mail reader to a fixed width font): Job: HTCGIBIN User: QNOTES Number: 479120 Thread: 000000DF Program Rqs or Lvl Procedure Library Statement Instruction _CXX_PEP QSYS 0000000139 main QSYS 0000000127 < SpawnChild QSYS 0000000372 < d__FPviPPc QSYS 0000000565 _C_pep QNOTES main QNOTES 0000000073 system QSYS 0000000006 QCMDEXC QSYS 011F < EP_IE003RG CGILIB IE003RG CGILIB 0000000151 QtmhRdStin CGILIB 0000000048 read QSYS 0000001399 < iP5iovecT3 QSYS 0000000243 After a while it just times out and dies. I'm not an RPG programmer and really don't what's going on here, so any help would be appreciated and if you need more info, just let me know. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
