To use TN5220 with SSL you must be at V4R2 or higher. You need Digital Certificate Manager and HTTP server installed on your AS/400. At V4R2 and R3 you must download a savefile from IBM's web page. Refer to Redbook SC24-5190 V4 TCP/IP for AS400: More Cool Things Than Ever. ----- Original Message ----- From: <stanghellini@confartigianato.fo.it> To: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 13, 2000 2:28 AM Subject: telnet5250 with SSL option > Hy everybody, > recently Mochasoft ha released version 5 of it's Telnet5250 with the brand > new option of enabling (during the connection) SSL (only DES 56 bit > Encryption Algoritme is supported). > How can I tell to my AS400 to use SSL. > I use OS400 V3R7M0. > Is SSL with DES encyption a feature of version 4 or my version can use it > too??? > > thank you in advance > > Marco Stanghellini > Italy > > > +--- > | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! > | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. > | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. > | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. > | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com > +--- _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
