> 1. Does this make Win 2K Pro competitive with OS/400 99%+ uptime? Nope. I've been running W2K PRO on my IBM Thinkpad for several months now. Overall it's MUCH more stable than W98 was. W98 needed 'therapy' about twice a day average. W2K Seems to run about a week average before it needs help. Contrasting that to OS/2 Warp 4 which I also ran formerly on this same machine I would say W2K is almost as stable as OS/2. (Win2K requires hugely more resource than any of the others mentioned, but then so do RISC versions of OS/400) > 2. Is the MS marketing of Win 2K Pro saying or implying that all prior > versions of Win did not have the essential reliability needed for business > users? The implication seems clear to me. W95 and W98 simply are NOT stable enough, nor is NT IMHO. - Larry -- Larry Bolhuis | Arbor Solutions, Inc | IBM AS/400e - Get There First! (616) 451-2500 | (616) 451-2571 -fax | It's 10PM.
