you have to at least have the JRE (java runtime environment)
on your computer. see www.sun.java.com .

the attached Java program will accept a directory as a parm. It
will look at all files in that directory and process those ending
with .gif or .jpg or .jpeg. It will then create a window showing
the file, height and width. It's a very simple program with no
bells or whistles. It could easily be changed to use JDBC to
update a file say on the AS/400.
