I'm not familiar with the error message that you're receiving, but I did
notice that you're trying to use ADO over ODBC. Unfortunately,  IBM's OLE/DB
driver does not support the passing of UserID or password on the connection
string. This is documented in the OLE Express Technical Reference help
file - under "Connection object support summary" in Appendix B.
