What I have always done when I get SPAM is to e-mail abuse@<their ISP> and forward the spam I received from them, with headers. If I can find out what their ISP is and if it's one that has a reputionation. It generally works in 80% of the cases. The subject line I put "SPAM" The rest I just attach their message. I send them a note politely asking them to stop. Then each time I get something from them, I send them back another note attaching their note. The first time I send it once. On the second time, I send it twice explaining that's what I going to do. I've never had the number go beyond 10. Note that I do have the luxury of a fast Internet line.
