I send them a note politely asking them to stop.

Then each time I get something from them, I send them back another note 
attaching their note.  The first time I send it once.  On the second time, 
I send it twice explaining that's what I going to do.  I've never had the 
number go beyond 10.

Note that I do have the luxury of a fast Internet line.
