Nina,

that comment wasn't ABOUT BP's per say and it would appear you've
interpreted it.

Given: There are alot of good BP's out there, but there's also alot of
them that aren't. And what that part of the article was pointing to was
that
IBM doesn't stand behind the END USER as they should. Further, that the
"full faith and confidence" that one would presume to exist in one's
business partners does NOT extend to this relationship.

I've seen too many times where a end user has gone to IBM and said in
effect "your partner isn't holding up...." to which IBM ignores the end
user. THIS has caused alot of damage to the public perception of the
AS/400 and S/38...

You RARELY RARELY RARELY hear someone say "that damn Vaporware systems
software sucks. I can't get my orders or invoices out and it's always
down!". NO!!! They will almost ALWAYS say "that damn AS/400 SUCKS.....".
THIS kind of attitude is what gives the 400 and the fine folks in Roch and
Toronto a VERY UNDESERVED BUM RAP! Further, if you think IBM's going to
come to the aid of the poor company that bought the bad software, think
again!

IMHO...
