I'm not sure what problem you're having, but the first thing that leaps out at me is your "LEAVE" code conditioned my *IN99. As coded, you won't leave the loop when RCV > 800. Remove the conditioning indicator from the LEAVE opcode. eric.delong@pmsi-services.com ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: Author: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> at INET_WACO Date: 8/14/00 11:03 AM Hi, i'm trying to get a string (3000 length) from hexadecimal sub-string (500 length) C *IN99 DOUEQ *ON C READ(N) TEST 99 C *IN99 IFEQ *ON C RCV ORGT 800 C 99 LEAVE C ENDIF C* C RCV IFEQ 800 C EVAL STR800 = STR800 + RCDTA C ENDIF C* C ENDDO thanks +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
